If anyone has any sure-fire methods to kick their own rears into writing gear, I’d be happy to listen.
While I haven’t yet made good on my original plans, I have been writing a fair amount the past several weeks. My strategy has been to set very specific and achievable goals. For instance, say that you will write one blog post of a set minimum length (say 1,000 words or whatever works for you) per day for exactly one week. Post that goal somewhere public so you feel like there is some accountability for your goal. After that week is up, set a new goal. I find it works to change up my goals now and then.
For now I am content to work on honing my creativity, pushing my output, and improving the quality of my work. I figure that could take me awhile, but I am enjoying the journey.
